To achieve such precise and artistic renderings, these hand pipes must go through a sandblasting process like no other. Originally, the Liberty 503 teams experimented with the power and capabilities of a sandblasting machine. They tinkered with their creations for about six months before deciding to go for it. They used the last of their money to buy a crystal sandblaster. This is a micro-abrasive blaster designed for only the most precise surface finish. And you can see that precision in every single one of their pieces!

The sandblasted tripod is designed to be used with an e-nail and comes with a special ceramic base plate that it stands securely on. It also comes with a removable downstem in case you want to use your own or replace it.

The majority of the rig is made of black opaque glass, into which a variety of highly intricate patterns have been sandblasted. Behind this layer and in the stand legs are various colors created by using layers of twisted sticks. These colors appear matte because the sand steel technique creates a rough texture over the piece. This is done by blasting the sand over the piece with high pressure on a patterned stencil.
The height of this rig is approximately 27 cm, with a cut of 18 mm.
