When it comes to fuming precious metals like 22K gold and 99% silver onto glass, Maka B is no match. He fumes his mixture of gold and silver onto clear glass with exceptional skill and style that few other glass artists can match.
Fuming is a technique where small pieces of gold or silver are vaporized onto glass. This technique requires extreme precision, as the temperature of the flame must not be so hot that it completely vaporizes both metals.
In this set, you get three of Maka B's fantastic works.
This amazing bubbler features four enormous smoky implosion marbles, horns, amber purple accents and 6 smaller marbles attached to the bottom of the pipe. The mouthpiece is very similar to the pendant that is included in the set.
The pendant is a circular glass disc that looks like a magical eye because of its blue honeycomb pattern and the smooth transition to the inside of the circle.
The oil rig in particular is a true masterpiece!
We have rarely seen so many beautifully crafted implosion marbles on one piece of glass. The gold and silver fumed linework is also incomprehensibly beautiful!
