PAX 3 not only shines in new colors, but also brings some improvements. The new models now heat up within 15 seconds and deliver a powerful and flavorful vapor experience.
Improved battery performance has allowed for a new heating element to be installed, bringing twice the output power of the PAX 2.
In addition, the PAX 3 is made of high quality materials throughout, just like its predecessor. The design remains the popular and simplistic aluminum, but this time it comes in a high-gloss look.
Usage is uniformly luxurious, as the PAX 3 gently vibrates when the device is ready to vape, and the LED real-time feedback makes the device seem almost alive. Sensors have also been improved, such as the lip sensor and the motion sensor.
The activation button remains at the top of the device by the mouthpiece and is operated with a single press as before. Press and hold changes the temperature setting, which includes four levels and is confirmed with a single press.
Gently shaking the device indicates the battery level, with the PAX 3's cross partially or fully illuminated in each case (this incidentally glows a soft purple when heated and green when ready).
The PAX 3 also comes with three different inserts; two for steaming with dried herbs (with different levels of filling the device) and one for steaming with concentrates or waxes. So a nice session can be achieved even with just a few herbs.
PAX has now also equipped its new vaporizer with a smartphone app, which allows even more precise settings and adjustments. Thus, different profiles can be created and adjusted to the liking. The device can be easily connected to the app and also make minor adjustments, such as the LED brightness. Updates are also performed via the app, which simplifies handling.
