Chaiah Sullivan of Unparalleled Glass discovered glassblowing at the age of fourteen and from then on, he was hooked.
He took as many classes as he could, found inspiring teachers, and spent hours at the torch.
Glassblowing is a passion for him and that passion still shines just as strong today. As he continues to grow as an artist, develop his skills and refine his focus each of his pieces is made with his breath and spirit as a glassblower.
The Blooming Cactus Rig is a handmade collaboration between Unparalleled Glass and Brian Jacobson.
Both artists chose perfect colors for this piece, the green on the cactus appears somewhat translucent and a subtle stippling effect creates a surreal depth. The stippled red pulls away from the cactus creating its pointed spines.
